Airbnb Linen Service in Belfast: Supply, Launder or Do It Yourself?

Ask any host what the most annoying part of running an Airbnb is, and linen will be near the top of the list. Sheets and towels need washing, drying, pressing and storing after every single stay, and running out on a busy weekend is a nightmare. Here are the three ways Belfast hosts handle it, and how to choose.

Option 1: We supply and launder the linen

With a full linen service, fresh bedding and towels are brought to every clean and the used sets are taken away to be laundered. You never buy, wash or store linen yourself.

• Best for: hosts who want zero hassle, remote owners, and properties with frequent turnovers
• Pros: consistent hotel quality presentation, no storage needed, no stock to replace
• Cons: a per bedroom charge on every clean

Option 2: Your linen, we launder it

You buy your own sets, and your cleaner collects the used linen, launders it and brings it back ready for the next turnover.

• Best for: hosts who have already invested in good quality sets or have a particular style
• Pros: your own look, lower per clean cost
• Cons: you need at least three sets per bed and have to replace worn or stained items

Option 3: You handle the linen

You provide clean, ready sets at the property and your cleaner simply makes up the beds.

• Best for: hosts who live close by and have a washing machine and dryer with space to spare
• Pros: no linen charge
• Cons: your time, energy and utility costs, plus the stress of drying linen in a Belfast winter

How many sets of linen does an Airbnb need?

If you handle linen yourself, a good rule is three full sets per bed: one on the bed, one in the wash and one spare. For towels, allow at least two bath towels and one hand towel per guest, per set.

What makes linen look hotel quality?

• White bedding, so it can be washed hot and bleached if needed
• Cotton percale sheets, which stay crisp and photograph well
• Heavy towels, which feel luxurious and last longer
• Pressed pillowcases and duvet covers, squared off corners and neatly styled throws
